Tinifloxacin

Composition:
Each tablet contains Ciprofloxacin 500mg and Tinidazole 600mg.

Properties:
Ciprofloxacin is a second generation of Fluoroquinolones antibiotics. Acts by inhibition of DNA synthesis of the microorganisms by inhibiting DNA gyrase, a type II topoisomerase, and topoisomerase IV, enzymes necessary to separate bacterial DNA, thereby inhibiting cell division.
Tinidazole is the 2nd generation of 5-nitroimmidazole, potent anaerobicide. It is also effective against Entameba & Giardia. It acts by damaging DNA strands. The nitro group of tinidazole is reduced by cell extracts of Trichomonas. The free nitro radical generated as a result of this reduction may be responsible for the antiprotozoal activity
